Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tau discovered music at an early age after his grandmother gifted him a toy keyboard. What began as childhood curiosity quickly became an obsession. Surrounded by uncles and cousins who made music, he taught himself how to produce, spending years developing his craft and building a deep understanding of sound.
As his production skills grew, he realized something was missing. Beat-making gave him a creative outlet, but not an emotional one. In 2016, with the encouragement and blessing of his uncle, Tau recorded his first song—and never looked back.
Today, Tau creates music without boundaries, blending melody, lyricism, and raw honesty into records that embrace vulnerability rather than hide from it. His work explores growth, self-reflection, love, discipline, and the complexities of being human. Rather than chase trends, he follows feeling, believing that the strongest music comes from telling the truth.
Inspired by artists such as T-Pain, B.o.B., Big K.R.I.T., Big Sean, and J. Cole, Tau ultimately draws his greatest influence from life itself. Every experience, emotion, and lesson becomes part of the music, creating a sound that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.
